A child arrives at Orran hungry and stays for years. Between the first hot meal and a first paycheck sit the programs on this page: food, school, art, a trade, a laptop, and someone to call in a crisis. Six days a week, in Yerevan and Vanadzor.

Every Orran day starts at the table. Children get a hot, homemade meal six days a week, the fixed point their week is built around. For roughly 100 elderly neighbors who would otherwise eat alone, a weekly food basket arrives like clockwork.

School is hard when no one at home can help. At Orran, professional teachers supervise homework every school day and tutor the children who have fallen behind, subject by subject, until the work is theirs.

Clay, thread, voice, and the stage.
Confidence is built by making things. Orran runs studios in pottery, woodwork, sewing, and painting, and a stage program of dance, choir, mime theatre, and music, taught in partnership with the Henrik Igityan National Aesthetic Centre. Summers add Junior Achievement camps, where children run their first small enterprises.

A trade becomes a wage.
Teenagers who grow up at Orran are paired with skilled craftsmen and learn a real trade beside them. It is the last mile of the whole model: a child who arrived hungry leaves with a skill the market pays for.

Pottery, woodwork, and now Python.
In 2024 Orran opened a computer and robotics workshop beside the potters’ wheels. The Orran AI Fund grows it into a full AI-literacy track, so the children Armenia’s tech boom would otherwise pass by are learning to build with it.

When the worst happens, Orran is already there.
Alongside the daily programs, Orran’s psychologists and social workers carry families through crises, with counseling, clothing, and school supplies for the children who need them most. When war displaced tens of thousands from Artsakh, Orran opened its doors wider.
